During a winters storm night, Alice (16) wakes from a nightmare and feels someone is watching her. Her strict religious mother Agatha bursts in and they argue over the circumstances of her late father. The youngest Abby (9) insists that there might be a way to bring him back, but Alice shuts her down. Abby pleads in the bathroom for a miracle, and it goes horribly wrong. Alice starts to experience hauntings in the house and discovers that Abby appears to have a fever.
